A friend sent me a load of Concord(e) and the Red Arrows.....and he is American....Concord(e) had a large fan club over here!

Geez - was it Concord or Concorde? Didn't we agree to the French spelling, with an "e"?

 

Considering there were loads of Americans who didn't like the aircraft at first, I'm pleased to hear it has a "fan club".

I give the French respect(NEVER NEVER NEVER)by putting the E in brackets.....but never going to spell it that way just because of a weak knee jerk Government of the time wouldn't stand up to them!

The banning of Concord(e),and dislike were conjured up by the Government and the AirCraft lobbiests who were so jealous because they couldn't comeup with something remotely like Concord(e).

Every time Concord(e) flew into or out of JFK there was a tailgate party on the nearby marshes.......don't think that has or will ever happen for a 747.
