Enfield Town 2 Burnham Ramblers 0

Recommended Posts

Class NOT r’s

Town had its first home win in the league since October 7th 2003 and first win in league since December.

Town won convincingly.

Danny Clarke led the charge win an imaginative lob of the keeper which was only defeated bythe combination of the post and crossbar. Millimetres out from being the goal of the season.

Then came Billy Cove with a drive at the Keeper in the 26th minute a lovely goal.

Then just before halftime Clarkee through again somehow beat the keeper and just rolled it by the post as well. Thought it was in. Should have been 3 – 0 by half-time.

Second half Burnham tried to fight back but they then became vulnerable to the counter attack. Town got a corner and the ball came in and fell beautifully for Lee Smith to nail at warp speed past the keeper who stood NO chance.

Daniel kept trying but not today. His 50th goal for the town will come – Hopefully soon!

hamburger - go get some cheese on top.

Clarkie is a top player, and we (the vocal support) will give him all the support he needs.

He is doing a great job, especially when he goes out wide, and with Billy "the Cat" (player of the season) knocking them in. It's a team game - but you wouldn't know that.

Hamburger if you were a towner you'd be getting behind the town at this time and not on their back, you aren't going to choose an opponents team to suit your needs to beat us. Suggest you Ilford boys go and mischief make somewhere else.

I couldn't choose a man of the match because I felt that they were ALL good on Saturday.
