we can't be with you all today but I have a good feeling about the run in.....starting with braintree getting a good shafting today....a bertie hat trick is looming....I can feel it....

 

so....17 games to finish second in the league and maybe even nick the shield....

 

3 games to win the bryco cup

 

4 games to win the trophy at villa park....

 

do we need any more encouragement.....

Sorry to be pedantic, Unc but you've got 19 games left to play in the league.

 

Have to admit I was wrong about Bertie. Despite his undoubted skill, I didn't think he had the right attitude and wasn't a team player at Canvey. For example he would beat two or three players easily and then shoot instead of passing to a team mate in a better position.

 

I warned a few Urchins about this but was pleasantly surprised when I watched the game last Saturday. Borg seems to have sorted him out and his work rate and awareness of team mates has improved greatly.

 

With the right attitude he could turn out to be a superb player.
