One of the major benefits of the company limited by guarantee is that no director is going to lose his house. With the money it costs these days to run a nl club, I can see why some are reluctant to join committees in case they get lumbered with some of the debt. Romford FC is a company limited by guarante. Whatever the status of the ESL it should be professionally represented and protected.

I strongly disagree that if a couple of clubs went to pot or the league disappeared no one would bother. Attendances for ESL games this season will probably be near the 20000 mark. Not all different people admittedly but hardly a drop in the ocean

Shucks, what can I say? I am in an ESL frame of mind and I was just thinking... I've not even looked at the Enfield fixture list since it came online. After a season I believe I have now officially switched from thinking of 107/307 Boreham Wood groundsharing and endless Escrow wrangling to what we have now: a professionally run club owned by supporters in the borough of Enfield. There's no 'I' in 'teamwork'.
