Thought I'd predict a few of the results this weekend. Anyone else fancy doing so....?

ESL

Bowers V Concord 0-5

ETFC V Burnham 3-1

Eton Manor V Waltham Abbey 2-1

GMBT

Ilford V Sawbo 3-2

Southend Manor V Basildon 1-2

Brentwood V Romford 1-3

Right...lets see what you lot think.... <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Pride before a fall my feathered friend.

There's no such thing as a guaranteed win these days if you look at recent results.

Both Ilford, ETFC and Concord have dropped unexpected points and the same can easily apply to any other team in the top five or six. Look at Romford the other Saturday.

Plenty more surprises to come I think before the season's end.

I now watch teletext every weekday and Saturday evening with fascinated anticipation.

This season is turning out to be really exciting with the title, quite probably, being decided on the final day.

Looks that way doesn't it Bill.....

One of the most exciting title run ins for a long time......

The only exception is the 98-99 season when Saffron Walden Town won the league on goal diffrence by something like 2 goals. Southend Manor and Burnham finished on the same points..!

Re: Sawbo.....

They are a team with a big heart and a lot of passion....BUT..in my opinion match that and you have the measure of them.....

Yes they are the in form team but like Bill Poster said..there'll be plenty more surprises before the end of the season.

I agree with what youve both said the league is really open ansd entertaining and i dont doubt for one minute that there won't be some more upsets along the final stretch.

But... the comments about sawbo are fine passion and commitment are their strong points but i dont think they get enougth credit for there football at times.

At times in the first half on Sat the supposed best team in the league were carved up time and time again.

Foxy - I thought they played Concord !! Don't let your hopes cloud your memory.

See you Saturday week for an exciting six pointer.

P.S. Despite the Waltham Abbey result the Boro are a much stronger allround side than you played away to earlier in the season.

And we like playing at Cricklefields. Remember last season?

I think it is tempting fate to predict scores however I see a lot of goals being scored at Goldsdown Road on Saturday. I hope they are in the right end.

Town look up for anything on last Saturday's display and now Clarke will realise he has to fight for his place.
