Right, while searching through my archives (yes seriously!!!) for answers to Martin's question, I came across something very special.

 

Amongst all my old football handbooks and match magazines, I found the bible, the one and only, MERLIN STICKER BOOK FOR THE 1994/1995 SEASON. Don't all shout at once.

 

It is in almost mint condition and, may I add, fully completed.

 

Before I go any further please don't think the prize refered to earlier is the sticker book, I'm not an idiot, and I am looking foward to the Antiques Roadshow 2025.

 

Anyway, I thought I would set up a challenge which will begin from the time this post goes on the board and end at the corresponding time tomorrow evening. For anyone lacking a brain that means you have 24 hours.

 

The challenge is thus;

 

During the 94/95 season, Blackburn Rovers ended up as champions with Manchester United and Nottingham Forest (yes Nottingham Forest) coming 2nd and 3rd respectively.

 

In the album for this season 18 player picture stickers are provided for each team so to win the prize you must guess as many of the stickers which appear for all three teams in the 94/95 album (this gives a maximum score of 54 points). Just post as many as you can and when the time runs out tomorrow whoever has guessed the most is the winner.

 

Before anyone starts whining Gary is not guaranteed to win this as I'm judging not Roy.

 

The prize will be decided by me during the next 24 hours, and I can only promise that it will be special.

You have to remember that the prize will be awarded to the person who named the most ORIGINAL answers so although Alcove has probably posted the most names people had already had guesses before him. (I can sense an argument approaching). There is one Blackburn player which no-one has yet has mentioned, both other teams are complete. As we head into the final hour can anyone find the last remaining player?
