since being made club captain, i think Dorms has reveled in the role and has taken his game up another level. I also think that since being relieved of the captains arm-band, the pressure on leon has dropped and he has started to realise his undoudted potential. Its a bit early but i reckon these 2 will be in the running for player of the season, anyone else?

For me:

Jamie just edges it, his game has been improving throughout the season, and there has been a definite improvement since becoming Captain.

Leon has improved his performances of late, but consistency week in, week out, has been a problem.

But still lots of games to prove himself as a true contender.

I think Dormer has come on since he has been made captain.

As for Leon, well at the start of the season he is what I heard someone call a "clean" player. Bags of talent but not willing to get "gritty". This has changed since the Basingstoke game. As for player of the season...well, for me, I think there has to be a little more consistancy in his game but as it is only the end of Feb and still some way to go, I'll agree that if he improves at the rate he is going, yep, a contender as with Dormer.

I think both have upped their game noticeably recently whether its to do with the captaincy or some other factor e.g. playing alongside better players its hard to tell. Leon is certainly get stuck in more but he needs to become more consistent. Jamie is a slightly better player and certainly more consistent and more prepared to get stuck in. A bit early to be talking about POTS in February with a few months of football left to play if they continue their improvement then they will be contenders. I feel that Hockton, Weaver or Sappleton are more likely winners anyway.

Dorms has been our most consistent player this season - in a number of positions, although I feel recent matches have shown centre mid to be his best. He looks like genuine captain material as well which is good to see.

Hunter has been frustratingly inconsistent this season. He has definately benefited from playing alongside Andy Davidson who takes a lot of the defensive work away from Hunter. Ironically this seems to have resulted in Hunter getting stuck in more, making more tackles.
