The club have signed speedy left footed striker Gavin Holligan on a months trial from Wycombe Wanderers.

 

Gavin was previously with West Ham and will be in the squad for tonights important game at Bishops Stortford.

 

Bradley Allen has left the club by mutual consent. Thanks for your help Brad and good luck in the future.

Background: Hit the headlines with a £150,000 move from Conference side Kingstonian to Premiership West Ham in November 1998. However, the youngster failed to make in-roads with The Hammers first team, making just one substitute appearance in the 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield in February 1999. Farmed out for unspectatular loan spells with Leyton Orient and Exeter City before returning to Kingstonian at the end of the 2000/2001 season. Released by West Ham in the summer of 2001.

trouble is they get signed by big clubs and then dumped into the reserves and then shipped out on loan as various managers come and go.....

 

obviously made his name at W&H...attracted WH...then a series of loan moves....and onto WW....

 

it unsettles them and takes the edge off their game...I am quietly optimistic about this lad....we'll see....

Prob should have scored yeah but even the best strikers miss chances and to be fair to the bloke he had only just come on for his first pro game and had just had an elbow in the eye from Babb to boot!

I think he has a good chance to re-ignite his career here. I hope he takes it because he is a good player.

your right raver, wasn't suggesting he won't be any good, just saying that anyone who was at Anfield that day will know he could have and should have scored the winning goal and he'd now be as famous as Jonah is for scoring one of the goals at white hart lane when we won 4-1.
