Youngest ever ESL goal-scorer?

"After scoring Town's third goal in yesterday's victory at Bowers United, it was claimed that Lee Digby was the youngest player ever to score for Enfield Town. However, after checking the files of the players concerned, it is confirmed that the record is actually still held by Keke St Hilaire, who was 16 years and 259 days old when he scored for Town against Barkingside in October last year. Digby, 4 months younger than St Hilaire, had already reached the ripe old age of 16 years and 346 days by the time he hit the back of the net. In fact Nicky Morgan, at 16 years and 333 days was younger than Digby when he scored his first competitive goal for the Town, way back in November 2001 against Harefield United in a County Cup tie, making Lee Digby the third youngest Enfield Town goal-scorer, Nicky Morgan the second and Keke St Hilaire still holding the record."

 

Incidentally Keke's goal was a cracker too!

 

If Keke St Hillaire was the youngest for town - Who is the youngest to score for the other ESL clubs?

Reagan Panzu, who scored Romford's third at Sawbo last season had, I am led to believe, only just turned 16. I am sure the statos of the world will confirm or deny aforementioned statement..

I reckon Adam Gregory was 16 years 195 days when he scored for Waltham Abbey against Concord Rangers on 6th September 2003

I don't think he's actually scored in the ESL (will check - only 2nd season) but Jon Hayes, who is a regular reserve teamer for the Abbotts, has made a few ESL appearances this season - he was born in 1960 - 43.

As for the "oldest" player, well, there is no doubting it is Reg Curtis of Eton Manor but if he has "scored" (On the pitch) is another matter - over to you Manor boys ?

By my calculations the 'Saint' was 37 years and 24 days old when he scored his last goal for the club, against Ilford on 28th April 2003.
I hazard a guess that he wasn't the oldest, but it is only a guess.

Speaking to Reg Curtis the other night he last scored in the ESL at the age of 45!
