Whats the worst ground you have been to?

For me it has to be Uxbridge last season, where the sound system was pure quality <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

 

Turned out to be a mic next to a radio!

I think it has to be Croydon, we never win, cant see the pitch, running track and a horrible bar.

Proberly Harlow and Croydon...

 

but at least their have a ground !! I know....

 

Not becaue of the people but just can't see the game to well with the running track around the outside...

I reckon Croydon, everything about the game was crap. Never been to Harlow though, but Mr Sliski told me all about its delights !

Of those non-league grounds I have been to, I have to agree, Croydon Sports Arena.

Went there in 97 for a midweek game between Croydon-Barton, gret atmosphere !! <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Nearly as many goals as people in the stand. Barton won 6-4.

 

Favourite grounds; Morecambe and Stalybridge.

Walton & Hersham in my opinion. We stand about a mile from the ground, no atmosphere, rains all the time and every time we go there we lose.

southport - innovative 'security features' - broken glass on walls, barbed wire, etc.

reading's old elm park - wooden stands=no smoking curses

croydon - just horrible

walton & hersham - see above

lewes apart from the new stand

I did not say your ground was bad just the way you treat away fans, i like mixing with all the home fans and have had no trouble with any club in Non League football. But my worst ground must be Newport County, running track and the stand not even on the centre line.

we were still learning then and there are always reasons for things that sometimes are not apparent...hopefully you will get the chance to come back and we'll make it up to you....

hi there all dave here my worst grounds proberbly halifax and southport for stewards and police letting there fans into are area and enxciting and teasing us. best ground has got to be rushdon and dimonds. hope to make it tuesday night for reserves game against farnbrough at stag meadow.

I think Dave meant 'incite' ("to move to action : stir up : spur on : urge on") rather than 'excite' ("to rouse to an emotional response").

hi all dave here at college windsor. got to be croydon and walton other worst grounds. no atmosphere and telescopes needed to see the players and I hate the running tracks there to.
