I'm sure he would have been on here screaming blue murder if Craig had been on the receiving end of some of the treatment dished out by thurrock.

I'm equally sure the noble, honourable Purfleet bench will leave Kandol our for the next 3 matches in lieu of the ban he would have received had the ref not been a cretin. Or not.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still angry over this game. I have never seen such a bad referee in all my life and there have been some poor ones at New Lodge. Graeme Tomlinson was the best player on the pitch by a mile. Someone earlier mentioned Redders went off due to a 2 footed challenge, but it was for a clash of heads. Cliff Akurang could be an actor for the way he conned the referee and if Kandol did what he did on the streets he'd get done for assault. So how he could not get sent off is beyond me, the referee and linos seemed to miss nearly everything. Disappointed with KK, put in the effort, but didn't look as threatening as Tommo.

As it happens Crows legs were heavily bruised plus other odds and ends took knocks, no complaints.

But let me go back to Gazza, Yes the ref was a low life official and he need not look far for like company among the other Ryman refs but for all the life threatening actions you all claim it was still hand bags with all available reporting for duty mid-week

I think the Basildon flyer has got it right in choosing reasonably skilled and very physical players to save your skins but please excuse other teams players for not standing their and taking the digs without response

The response on occasion will be over the top thats the nature of the game

Well I would have said anything over the top is AGAINST the nature of the game. The nature of the game is to play to the rules, and when the players are incapable of doing that themselves then the referee takes action. If two-footed tackles, elbowing, grabbing opposition players by thier necks and feigning injury are in the nature of the game then it is a very sad day for football in Thurrock.

Very disappointed with your contributions pabird. Are you really saying that as long as a player is fit for a midweek game then everything is OK? Also that your claim that unless you have played the game at somewhere near this level, then you possibly couldn't understand, is poppy-[****!!****]. I expect you'll be saying nothing during the Euro's, unless of course you've played football at international level. The accusation that we are a physical side is also a load of baloney. Talented yes, physical no.

Lets see if I can say this slowly, a lot of huff and puff with hand bags at five feet but no real malice

Players at this level who intend to damage an opponent do so and the really hard men do not fairy around making threatening moves or sounds

The business of playing at any reasonable level only allows that you can judge between the vicious and the hand bag

And ricay are not physical?? of course they are and rightly so, there fighting for survival and getting better all the time

"no real malice" I'll have to remember that one if I'm ever up in court (unlikely as I'm a grade A wuss <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> )

"Yes your honour, I punched him and grabbed him by the throat, but there was no real malice involved."

"That's OK then...."

Utter twaddle!
