Sensational!!

The lads played some terrific stuff throughout - there were some passages of passing & moving that were a joy to watch - truly entertaining!

I thought John Martin & Mark Graham were exceptional the whole match.

Everyone battled. Total commitment. Definitely deserved to win. I thought we were going to have to take the draw - even at the Riverside you can't expect to win every game, but what a grandstand finish!!!

Great match today and what a finish from Jonnie Keeling! When Bertie missed that one a few minutes before I thought Hornchurch would have to settle for a draw. It did seem that most of the match Burton were playing for a draw but Hornchurch played some great football and Keeling made a difference when he came on.

Let's hope Canvey can do the business Tuesday night. See you in the next round hopefully and well done today!

Hoping we get the Urchins next round, would be a great game.

With Telford and Halifax being knocked out and Aldershot held to a draw I think Hornchurch must fancy their chances of progressing further. If you can avoid Shrewsbury or Exeter, who knows?

Funny enough Steve Jones was on my train going home, with his Urchins' tracksuit on. Got off at Benfleet. Know he lives around there but wouldn't have thought the great Jonah would be getting a train to games!

Possibly as pi55ed as we were!! - oops.

This victory tastes sweeter than the Darlingtopn & Stevenage ones. Our team were brilliant.

Hard to name man of match as they all were. Although I think Ollie's "the man"...

That'll teach the Burton geezers in front of me to "give it large" in the 2nd half.

Thanks lads! Well done!!

Benfleet you say YA. That brings back some fairly bleak memories. After my Xmas party this year I staggered out the venue in a confused state. I recall entering Liverpool St station and thinking to myself that it would be quicker to get the overhead to Upminster than get the tube. I staggered into Burger King and purchased the largest burger known to man. I recall sitting on the 11.40 and tucking in. I dropped the whopper onto the filthy floor. After much deliberation I picked it up and continued to chew, making sure I removed any particulary large pieces of grit. The next thing I knew I had alighted the train and was walking down a platform that to all intents and purposes I believed to be Upminster. It was only once I left the premises of the station that I realised that something was amiss. I was greeted by a sign post that infomed me that I was in a location called Benfleet! Never heard of the fu8king place before then!! I could see the fu*king sea for fu*ks sake! By this time my head was banging, it felt like I had Keith Moon in there playing the drums! Anyway, I waited 20 mins for a cab, only to be told that me wallet had better be full or i would not be getting home. He kindly showed me to the closest bank and I withdrew the correct funds. I instructed him that I needed to get to Hornhurch and then promptly fell asleep. I was rudely awoken by him shaking me and telling me that we had hit town. I paid him the nessesary funds, ran indoors and threw up in the sink! The misses didn't talk to me for a few days as I had promised her that i would be in by 8pm, I got in at 1.30am. Still, good day and would do it again tomorrow!

Somewhere near Canvey, all I remember about the place is a very confussing roundabout as you enter the town, about 6 of the sods all piled on top of one another.

Cracking game today, can't help but pee yourself laughing when Jonny tucked home the last minute winner. And all the Northerners were just thinking about taking us up t'up North and doing us at their place! Hahaha, bet they had a long trip home!

Yep true, tough on to call, but Jonny is class and worth longer than the 15 or so mins he got. But like all of them, they'll have to wait their turn, little point in changing a winning team. Thinking ahead, I'm going to be controversial and actually hope we get an away tie. These home trophy games are just too easy! Shrewsbury or Exeter away next round, with maybe an overnighter down there as well, getting on the lash!!!

Sorry mate, will say hello next time I'm down there.

Yeah that was definately Stevie Jones. Had an Urchins Adidas top on and after he left the station he was heading towards the taxi rank. Was going to say hello to him but to be honest I wasn't convinced it was him. I mean why would he get a train?! <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Enjoyed today, it was a really entertaining game. Yeah we got a good result against Stalybridge. They're one of the better sides in the Unibond so it was a potential banana skin. Think we'll be too strong for them in the replay but can't take anything for granted.

Nooooo!

Have to hope we get Exeter in the final - otherwise I'm going to miss the chance of seeing my virtual pal, Mr Whisker, weep buckets in person, as I'm going to be away when the next round is played!

We've already swapped club mugs - & although both teams sport the red & white stripes, I have to say our mug is a bit louder & prouder than theirs!

I just downloaded the goals! What joy!!!!
