That's what I was thinking too - on Saturday we saw Freddie Hyatt and Alex Haddow wandering about at half time, going to the tea bar etc. They were not even in the SQUAD. All credit to Denton for moulding his team and getting them to play excellently over the last few weeks.

Another great performance from the boys against an admitedly tired Staines team. That shouldn't take away from the fact that we outplayed them and should have scored more than three - I'm sure Glen Harris would agree.

 

Steve Daly once again shone at the back and should be sent an apology by the match official as I've never seen a more obvious clean tackle in the penalty area. Willo played out of his skin on the right and deserves credit for improving his performance. Fossie had a couple of dodgy moments in the first half which we were lucky to get away with but his shot stopping in the second half was phenomenal - again unfortunate that his clean sheet was taken away by theat penalty.

 

So then, a fourth consecutive league win, and a second win in a row away to fellow top six contenders. I don't know what Mickey Lewis has been putting in their tea but it is certainly getting the boys perked up for the matches. Another testing fixture to come on Saturday with Lewes coming to Stag Meadow as the form side in the division. However, Dom has let in a few goals of late and with Hodgey and Boot on fire at the moment I'm certainly expecting goals and a high class match between two good footballing teams. With Dulwich playing Lewes on Tuesday night and us without a game it'll be a good scouting opportunity for Eddie and co to see what our next two opposition are going to be all about.

 

It has been good to get some consistency, both in results and in performance. Veli has been a boost to the team but in the last two matches there have been 10 other stars as well.
