117 fans saw a close match again with some nice skill. Jim experimented with some new formations with Jason Nash starting in the number 11 shirt and Simon Miller in the No 2. Billy Cove went close early on forcing a reflex save from the H & R keeper. H & R should have grabbed a goal towards the end of first half when they were defeated by the post.

 

Eventually in the second half H & R grabbed the winner in the 63rd minute. Town were breaking well in the second half but the ball would not fall for us and John Taverner on the line kept raising his flag against us. He took appropriate light-hearted stick from the fans at the town end.

 

I enjoyed the game and it was good to see Lee Smith back for 15 minutes

 

David Allen and Daniel Alleyne popped by to say hello!

Thought Clarkie had a good game, a goal would of been nice; but that will come

 

 

Good to see Miller and mith out there tonight.

 

New stand is EXCELLENT - well done to all involved.

Still not a sparkling performance but we lost against a team one league higher and in the top three. the lads showed much more passion and spirit and it was a big improvement from Clarke. As already mentioned it was great to see Smith back. He will bring more attacking flair. I hope is is played just off the front two and will give more supply.

 

All in all, the game could have gone either way. Neither team deserved to win or lose or draw (!!!???). Well done to H & R, you played a good game and the sportsmanship at the end of the game was a credit to both sets of players and, of course JCs barmy army!

For the last ten minutes we played with more spirit than i have seen for a long time. I give the team credit for 100% effort but we are just missing the final touch at the moment.

back four cant tackle cant head the ball and realy dont know how to defend,brad would be a better player if he new how to play the easy ball a bit more,digby looks good but very young.midfield looks to slow and do not pass the ball well enough,dont rate clarke to greedy,best two up front cove and smith if given the service they will get goals,left back needed badly center back and right midfield

of all the players that jim has signed this season i think only cove.digby and smith are up to scratch and if he wants to win the league he will have to make some signings.but if you pay peanuts you get monkeys
