ESL Next Season

Boroman's post regarding lack of Romford home league matches after Saturday March 13 raises an interesting point to which a number of you may wish to add your thoughts!

 

How many teams do you suggest/know will be playing in the ESL next season given the reorganisation due at the next level of the non-league game?

 

Or on a more general basis can anyone offer any knowledge as to what the reorganisation has in store for leagues at ESL level for the 2004/2005 season?

 

I am asking because although we are getting towards the end of our current season's activities there seems to be a deafening silence in all areas of the press including the NLP on this subject although they are full of comments about the two Conference feeders and their immediate feeders.

Enfield play nowhere near Essex. Unless they are going to groundshare at Waltham Abbey of course.

i would rather leaveit as it is though than have any old cr*p in. we dont want it to be a mickey mouse league.

 

the league were right not to iclude sporting bengal this season as in the kentleague so far (a few weeks back not sure at the moment) they had 1 point!

Where did you hear about Harold Wood - Arkwright and where do they play.

 

However, I have heard a whisper about White Ensign and Shenfield also from the Essex Intermediate.

 

And what are the thoughts about amalgamation to really strengthen things up?

Harold Wood play in Harold Park, roped off pitch and shared club house with the cricket team, which I am led to believe is not the happiest of marriages. I have heard about Shenfield Association and White Engsign...also Rayleigh Town have been mentioned. I am surprised the likes of Herongate and Kelvedon Hatch, whose grounds the last time I visited were comparable to Hullbridge, have not been tempted to make the step up. I suppose depending on re-organisation, that we could get the likes of Clapton, Barking, Great Wakering and even some from the west of the county like Stanway and Tiptree.

I have it on good authority that White Ensign expressed an interest but have problems getting Senior Status.

 

Never say never but Enfield FC will not be sharing at Waltham Abbey next season. We have our own plans.......watch this space!

If they all moved onto Townmead I reckon you could be talking a lot of houses or perhaps an extension to the cemetary next door!

It is an impressive history we have certainly started at a cantor, which does give some heavy expectations.

 

Abbeynut we are proud of our EFC origins but we have move on the same as you have.

Cleggy - "as time goes by" (as I have said before) we have more and more people that never went to Southbury Rd. We need to major on OUR history, not our ancestory!
