The transfer window has closed, but Tottenham Hotspur have still managed to get a Beckham on their books.

 

David Beckham's son Brooklyn is in training with the club after enrolling on its Football in the Community scheme for local children.

 

And it seems the youngster, who turns five in March, has already learnt a few tricks off his old dad.

 

Although children usually join in with the schemes, run by most Premiership and Nationwide League sides, around the age of six, Brooklyn is already good enough to compete with higher age groups.

 

He has taken part in two after-school sessions at the club's indoor centre in North London in the past two weeks.

 

One onlooker told The Evening Standard: "You can already see that Brooklyn is going to develop into a good player.

 

"The kids were only practising elementary football skills but Brooklyn shows lots of promise."

 

It could be a dream come true for Spurs fans, having missed out on the talents of father David.
