Can't say that I was impressed when he was appointed. When he was a regular on the pitch he always seemed to be getting up the other players' noses.

It really is a shocking record. Two League wins against Northwood and Aylesbury Yoof and cup victories over mighty London Colney and Hoddesdon Town. I can't help thinking if this were any other Ryman club he would have been long gone by now.

De Souza - One of the only players who apparently likes Castle, part of a select group disliked by the others. It wouldn't be the brightest appointment!

 

Bring in a totally new person and let them ditch all the dead wood at the club and there is a lot!

Not Fairclough if only for the way he acted after Stevenage beat Swindon in the FA Cup. I was working in the Mile House (RIP) and he came in with Grazzioli and someone who may have been Victor Green and gave it the "I'm for the big time me" speach to anyone who would listen. He couldn't get served.

 

His daughter who worked there later was charming.

There are a lot of things you and I may differ on but this is not one of them, EFMTFTV. You are spot on. De Souza would be a very ill thought out appointment. It is absolutely essential that we appoint both a new manager and new coach from outside. IMHO we could do a lot worse than trying to entice John Kendal and Jeff Wood back.
