DVD Regions

My DVD Player, like all DVD players in the UK, is a Region 2 (although I believe now you can buy multi-region DVD players).

 

However, I've heard that there is some way you can play Region 0 or Region 1 DVDs in a Region 2 DVD player if you know how.

 

Does anyone on here know how??

depending on the make of your dvd player - you can "unlock" them to make them multi region. (can't do it on my toshiba)

 

You have to make sure your tv is quite new otherwise the films might come out in black and white.

Excellent, Rob - your link does have Panasonic on it, but they want $10 for sending out the codes.

 

I'm hopeful of finding a site where they're just listed now!

Cheers, Libro - funnily enough, that's the site I've just stumbled upon!

 

I've clicked on a few random Panasonic players on there, and it seems that you can't do it via the remote control, and need to obtain a disk. At cost!

 

Would be easier if I just went out and bought a crap £40 multi-region DVD player really!

Amazon were doing multi region Sony DVD players for about £80 if you want to save up a bit!
