Pred'n Lg - Play-off final - by midnight Sat 3rd May

Well that was a decent end to the season.  Three wins on the trot and a peerless performance at Chippenham where we also met some very nice people and cheap beer.  But a truly terrible “meat” pie – so it’s not all heavenly down in Wiltshire.

In the all-important Prediction playoffs semis, I squeaked through against the Dummies.  Good job it wasn’t a draw as we don’t have a rule about that (it’s done on crowd prediction).  So yet another rule for the committee to cook up for next year.

In the other semi final it was a comfortable win for Fat Tom whose deep knowledge of Greek football proved decisive (and he was only 3 out on the crowd).  So unlucky Paul, but there’s always next year.

Scores as below:

Prediction final is therefore  Fat Tom  v  Jago  next week  (3rd May).

I'll do the fixtures after Wednesday as there are a bunch of playoff games that we might as well include (Isthmian North, Essex Senior etc).

OK Fat Tom - try these.    Nb we will have a Sunday play-off as there's no Urchins' match and the games are much better on Sunday.

Predict by end of Saturday if possible please.  I have sent my wild guesses to Cup of Tea so that neither of us gets to see the other's predictions first - I'll post mine on here after you've done yours.

Cheers, Jago

Did you both predict attendance on the same game?

Excellent question:  Possibly not!   However we were both out by a country mile - it was 1535.

Anyway, I fluked it...

So somehow I am back in the big time. Well done me.   Hard luck Fat Tom, though it would have helped if you hadn't lost each of the last 5 league matches!

Note that my promotion is dependent on sufficient players next year.  Rule 7.3 innit?  This also affects Baby Jago in 3rd place - which could make for an awkward fatherly talk.

So - assuming we do it again, see you all in the new season.

Jago.
