We ARE Staying Up !!!

What a superb comeback from the dead in this league. Consistently in the top half of the form league for the last third of the season. Well done to the management ,players, fans and all those involved with running the club.

In some ways it may be a good thing to not keep the good run going all the way to end of the season as we may have been lulled into thinking this squad was good enough to be competitive next season. The two heavy defeats against top 6 sides in the last two games shows we are currently still a fair distance away from the better teams in this league.

What we really need next season is a striker such as Mo or Marcus on-loan.

Ditto to all three of the posts above...well done to all involved 👍🏻

And a lovely new stand 👌🏻

But...

...how many of those players will we see next season? Time for a wholesale clear out over the summer surely?

In the meantime...COME ON YOU RIP ROARING TOWNERS! ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻

The last 2 games have certainly been a reality check, and I expect NLS to be stronger next season with the likes of Horsham and Bedford Town joining. That said, well done to Gavin and the squad on a fantastic second half of the season. I was one of those calling for his head some time ago, and he has proved me wrong. I'm left wondering whether it was a case of Gavin making the wrong decisions in the first half of the season, or the Board not giving him enough financial backing until just before Christmas?

Now we've got the urgent ground grading works out of the way, will we be able to provide Gavin with some more funds for the squad next season?

Are we likely to be a more attractive proposition for Step 2 players next season?

We certainly need to recruit in midfield and up front if we're not going to find ourselves in the sh** again next season!

(Mo's 2nd goal wasn't bad, was it???!!)

A mighty well done to Gavin, the team and everyone at the Club. Just woke in Australia to the best news possible. In truth I was hoping for the best but fearing the worst. Just hope we can take the lessons from the first half of this season and be better prepared next season. This is a tough league, playing against full time professional teams with heaps of money.
Enjoy today. Be ready for tomorrow. COYT.

Very impressed with Ian Culverhouse’s honest post match interview on ‘ tube.’.I take no pleasure from St Albans relegation but the fact we finished above them shows how much we have achieved this season. Let’s hope we can push on to match them when they return.
