It’s time to put you out of your misery.  I could have done this yesterday evening when I made up calculated the results, but an internet outage then hit Jago Towers and I’ve only just had a moment to get back on the web.

That hasn’t, however, stopped Urchin Queen from wandering around the house all day wearing a crown fashioned from an Easter Egg box chanting “champione, champione” in celebration of her unexpected victory. I’m pleased for her of course but it’s all getting a bit tiresome now.

So yes – Marta and Adrian both blew it, enabling Lady Jago to sneak in to win the league, and Blackballed to ease his way into second place for the second season in a row (on goals scored – so I guess a bit unlucky there.  Again!).

At the bottom, either Digger or Nick would have stayed up if they’d won.  But they didn’t so down they go, with Sir Colin being the rather fortunate beneficiary and somehow staying up.

The Division 2 showdown between Luke and Clive went the way of Luke, so congrats to him, with Baby Jago securing the third auto spot thanks to Fat Tom’s continued collapse (LLLLL in the last 5).  The playoffs will be between my good self (THE TOP SCORER IN THE LEAGUE – have I mentioned that before?), Paul C, Fat Tom and The Dummy Team.  Playoff semi finals will be next week but we will draw the match-ups after we’ve all predicted so as not to know who is playing the Dummies.

And finally – it was close, but the Wooden Spoon goes to everyone’s favourite PG Tips drinker, Cuppa Tea,  a prize he last held in 2019-20; you’d have expected it to be more recent!

Should anyone care, here's the full list of winners etc.  And contrary to my post above, Blackballed has not been runner up twice in a row.  I was clearly confusing him with Mr D - an easy mistake to make.  (If you were both deaf and blind).
