Lost 2-4 and remain 17th Hampton and Richmond who could have overtaken us also lost We both have 51 points and the same GD looks like we'll  be 17th or 18th

Incredibly tight at the top 2 points now separate the top 5

From Scott’s interview it sounds like q some of the players that didn’t play today are the ones moving on…make of that what you will.

Players like Amartey and Alfa haven't really featured for some time so I'd be surprised if they were part of next seasons squad.

IMO it's going to need a re build on a competitive budget if we're to avoid another season of scrambling around the lower regions of the division.

Just listened to Scott's interview and there's no doubt in my mind that two of the players he's talking about leaving are Francis Amartey and Ody Alfa.

Of the other players missing from today as far as we know Bayliss, Spasov, Prosper and Micchio are injured/sick and presumably Goddard wasn't allowed to play.

For me Ody never got a proper run out so we’ll never know if he was good or not. Francis as we know can on his day be decent but can also go missing, Scott obviously liked him and saw his potential but maybe has now decided to move on.

Yes interesting comment from Scott regarding the players left out. I think we all know we’re losing Slavi, and I read Prosper was ill. But what’s to say Bayliss, Miccio and Goddard aren’t also leaving?

Slavi has stated that he's turned down offers this season to stay loyal so it wouldn't be a big surprise if he takes up another offer.

Although likely it's not a given but also not a disaster as 13 league goals in 40 odd games is not exactly pulling up trees and should be replaceable.

Of the others it's any ones guess.

I’d see it as our top goal scorer, arguably our best player and captain won’t be here next season plus question marks over maybe another 5/6 players not involved today. Add to that the players involved but not part of Scott’s plans and it’s a massive rebuild coming up. Hopefully the ins and outs will be mostly sorted by early June.

Ah but that’s playing for a team that’s going to finish in the bottom third of the table. He’d be thinking if I’m playing for a top 7 team i could be scoring 20-25.

I too thought we gave a good account of ourselves, except for the first 15 minutes where they rang rings around us and I thought it could turn into a cricket score.

If only we showed more composure for those 15 minutes and had some teeth up front we might have got a result!

If he was any good he'd have walked into our team this season; whatever he showed last year to persuade Rochdale to take a punt on him, he clearly didn't justify it at Rochdale nor for us IMO.

If he was no good then I’m sure he would have been released earlier. I’m just surprised he stuck around and why he wasn’t given a run of games to show his worth. It’s not like we didn’t want to alter a winning team!

Well he was released at Rochdale less than halfway into a one-year contract. There could be all sorts of good reasons why, but I thought it telling at the time.

As for sticking around I'm sure he'd have got a run in the team if, say, he'd shown his worth in training. If there's another reason why he hasn't played then why sign him in the first place?

Only Scott will know! I guess if the opportunity arises to sign a player that’s within budget from a league higher then you’re quite likely to do it. Maybe he’s a bit like Francis who shows glimpses of skill but ultimately isn’t consistent enough.

Top scorer but imo blows a little hot and cold with his performances/taking chances that fall his way.

As for captain, I might be wrong but for only the one game?

Don't get me wrong I'd be happy if he stayed and if he did I'd say we'd definitely need at least another striker to partner him or to give him some competition.

We didn’t see a great deal of them but I would have hoped there would have been more chat about the young players that made appearances…. Spicer, Anyanwu, Rennie, Duodu & Nelson.

They have all come from the behind the scenes development at the club that most fans don’t see.
