It looks very likely that the 3 match suspension for Guy Hollis will start on the Good Friday game against Boreham Wood.

Would start on Saturday effectively so the first game would be against us on Easter Monday, and the final game of the three would be the first of next season

Takes a week for suspensions to kick in at this level (except for the final game of the season when it kicks in immediately for play off sides)

There was a bit of confusion but you're right, regardless of there being a game on the bank holiday Friday the suspension won't start until the 7 day's are up on the Saturday.

I thought I recalled Guy Hollis being sent off a few other times for us, so looked back through our historical archives….. that was his 7th red card with us, & his 5th in his last 89 appearances for us.

To put that into perspective, I think the record for career red cards might be 8, held jointly by Duncan Ferguson, Richard Dunne & Patrick Vieira.

No malice intended, Guy has been great for us over many seasons spanning back to 2013, & made over 300 appearances, including both the play-off victories, and is a fans favourite with his no nonsense style of play.

The way Guy plays he's always going to be on the edge of a red card.

Full blooded tackles regardless if it's in or out of the area which to a certain extent is acceptable but you can't condone a deliberate elbow.

That's not to say yesterday's sending off was a deliberate elbow, only Guy will know that.
