We have a game today in case anyone is interested: Torquay v Slough.  You can either go to the game or sit indoors and comment online.

If you are leaving your house, Torquay is in Devon.

I was down there recently for a week long break, it is a bit of a trek as a day trip, but the weather is looking good, so those that are travelling should have a fantastic day out…… if you can find the time to have a walk around the harbour area you will find some nice places to eat, if you want great fish & chips try the Saltwater restaurant, and if you get some time to walk along the sand at the seafront you will find it good for the soul.

Hopefully you will see an entertaining match as well, but I will be one of those in & around Slough today, watching results & updates & keeping my fingers crossed that St Albans lose to make us mathematically safe.

There is a very useful match day article on the club website for those travelling - NOT!

Standards slipping.

Safe at last but the officials at Clarence Park gave 10 added minutes in which the home team, who are good at snatching late goals, might have got a life-saving equaliser. Seems to be a speciality of this league.

Maidenhead won with two late goals at play off hopefuls Halifax.

There still may be local derbies with Maidenhead Their win today leaves them 22nd but the three teams above them all picked up points With 3 to play  they have a 5 point deficit on the currently 20th placed team.

We are currently 17th with 51 points and predicted to finish 16th with 55 points  drawing with Boreham Wood losing to Chesham and beating Hampton  Champions now predicted to be Truro.

Unfortunately Maidenhead have 4 games still to play so a bit more leeway to escape the drop.

It could be that 50 points from 46 games isn't enough. A warning to those of us who assume that it will be!

A decent effort from the team today considering we were down to 10 men after 28 minutes after Guy Hollis was sent off for reportedly elbowing a player.

Really disappointing from Guy letting down the team and travelling supporters.

The good news is we're safe from relegation for another season.

In the NLS St Albans can only get to 50 points so it's a pretty good guide line.

Yes in the NL a relegated team might exceed the 50 points but it's only a guide line and always a possibility it could be exceeded.

Fortunately for Maidenhead they played a Halifax team that are currently second bottom of the form guide with 4 losses and 2 draws in their last 6 games.
