Enfield Town v St Albans

Recommended Posts

Permutations:

Town win = Guarantees survival for Town, St Albans not yet relegated even if Salisbury win at Weymouth.

Draw = Town 6pts clear meaning St Albans would have to win both remaining fixtures and hope Town lose both in order to stand a chance of survival (again depending upon Salisbury's results)

St Albans win = Town 3pts clear of St Albans with 2 games to play. You'd fancy St Albans to beat a fairly toothless Hemel at home, which would then set up a grandstand finish on the final day with St Albans favourites to survive with their superior goal difference.

Not sure what to make of this fixture now. St Albans are very short defensively but have a large number of forward options (Banton, Jeffers, Smith etc). From what their manager has said they will be 'going for it' from here on in. So it will be interesting to see how they set up, knowing that they really need a win - or a draw at worst.

You'd have to think that Gavin will stick with his tried and trusted formula - trying to stay solid and then play in behind for Dillon to get on to.
