Hemel Hempstead Town 1-1 Enfield Town

  • Tally Ho changed the title to Hemel Hempstead Town 1-1 Enfield Town

Disappointing not to win, but saying that it could have easily gone the other way.

Looks like we'll have to get a result against St. Albans.

Worthing unlikely to be home and dry as well, but if they're in the playoffs maybe they'll be resting a player or two at the end of the season.

Who knows, but it's still in our hands. Plenty of football to play yet.

Draws against Slough (a), Chippenham (h) and Hemel (a) earlier on in the season would've been great. Whilst the results give us a chance, we really needed more if we are going to survive. Would love to be proved wrong, but given Chelmsford's recent improvement (and a manager who is desperate to avenge their "worst result of the season" at The Dave Bryant), I don't fancy us to pick up any points next Saturday. Equally, I expect Eastbourne to be too strong for St Albans. So I'd fancy us to retain our 3 point lead going in to the Good Friday clash. On New Years Day St Albans had that little bit more quality and managerial nous as they took the 3 points. On paper, they probably have the stronger squad. They also have a more experienced manager. If we go in to the Wood and Worthing games needing points, then I fear it will be Step 3 for us (and our new stand) next season because I think St Albans will pick up some points in their final two games (Hemel (h) and Truro (a)).

Still, its a funny old game!

It's still in Salisbury's and St Albans hands as well . Whoever wins the Town v St Albans game very likely stays up .Whoever loses it very likely goes down. The game is that important.
