It’s a fact of life, we just can’t beat Canvey. The best part of the night was getting back home to Hornchurch in under 50 minutes.

Was a really poor game, 1 piece of brilliance from Charlee and took the lead. Canvey offered nothing but yet again we concede from a corner - we have to improve on our set piece defending quickly!!! 
 

Shame we had so many players missing - but let’s finish the season well and be in the top 10.

When you call the opposing centre forward a ‘fat bastard’ then of course he’ll score a last minute equaliser and of course he’ll score the penalty that seals it….

I was really hoping to see a good cup final. What a shame we made that fairly long journey on a cold Tuesday night to see that, and even worse that we didn't see it out. I think every team in our league is better than Canvey.

Canvey jinx hits us again - I think the karma police definitely got us over Bradley Sach. When we got it right, we totally outclassed Canvey but the times we got it right in the game were extremely limited and there’s no doubting the effort from Canvey (and a bit of skill of their own on occasions). Well done to Canvey and we move on, probably got another tough game coming up , St Albans are fighting for their lives. As always we move on COYU

Extremely lacklustre performance. Pitch was the same for both sides so we can't have any complaints about that. Onto St Albans Saturday, COYU

Like most fans opinions the performance was very disappointing and somewhat baffling, recent performances haven’t been great but Canveys run of form is far worse. After a very poor first half the late goal I had hoped would improve our second half, but unbelievably the second half was even worse. Saunders late substitution looked good but why so late? Perhaps competitions such as the ESC mean more to the fan’s than the players. Whilst I’m on my soapbox can l ask the younger supporters to be a bit more respectful, as at the end of the match as the teams were lining up for the presentation the abuse they were shouting at the Canvey players was out order, do they have to f&c and call players pedophiles , seeing the reaction of a family with young children close by said it all,we as a club are better than that.

I wasn’t at the match, but the behaviour you talk about of some younger supporters is appalling. I’m sure that they can be identified and I would suggest that the powers that be ban them from attending future games.
