So he isn’t going to be playing Step 4 football for very long then, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they have offered him more money than we have been paying him.

Good to hear that we possibly received a fee, and hopefully there is also a sell on clause, because it wouldn’t surprise me if he plays Step 1 at some point in the future.

I would be very surprised if we sign anyone short term for this season.

You may not say that if we’re only 2 points clear with 3 games left!

Officially left the club to Farnham Town for an undisclosed fee.

Really not fussed on his departure as I didn’t see enough when he did play to say he was worth his place. Sure he could have developed and improved but if his attitude was as bad as I’ve heard then good riddance!

Have to ask, what makes you think he will play step 1? I saw nothing in him to think this imo,and it’s not like he didn’t get opportunities at Slough..hope I’m wrong and he shines but I’d be very suprised.

Don't know Sam beyond the following story Glen, but at Dorking him and Ody Alfa sat next to us for the whole game. Sam was next to my 11 year old son (who for him it might as we have been Ronaldo) and chatted to him throughout the whole game, showed a genuine interest and even then at the home game afterwards asked him how he got on in his Sunday game. He seemed like a really nice young lad on those encounters. Very polite and humble.

On him as a player, I'm disappointed to see him leave. He has been dogged with injuries this season and having seen him since he played for Bedfont, then Hanwell and then us, there is a heck of a player in there, just didn't get his chance for 1 reason of another. Scott also must have been confident in him to give him a 2 year contract at the start.

He might amount to nothing in the long run but I wish him well and am sure we'll see him down road. A disappointing way things ended, but the essentially the club sold a player that didn't want to be here any more. Everyone gets what the want in the end and whilst I'm sure it didn't go down very well, this is football nowadays.

He scored 6 league goals in only 938 minutes of match time….. that’s better than a goal every 2 full matches.

He might have made 24 league appearances, but only started in nine league matches.

The wording said for an undisclosed fee so we definitely received some money for him.

Sam's playing time was limited due to injuries but showed some promise of things to come when he managed to get some playing time.

As far as I'm concerned Sam has been lured away by an ambitious club spending a lot of money to climb up the divisions.

More playing time could also be a reason which he'll get at Farnham.

Got to say Well Done to Sam for getting us to pay his wages throughout constant injuries and then forcing his way out by fooling another club to drop an actual transfer fee. Bravo!

Although from the way it was worded I think we may have paid a fee to sign him from Hanwell as he was still in contract. So we’ve certainly not made much profit at all.
