Should be Rhys if he's fit! Joe has just been a stand in....he's done ok but Rhys hasn't done anything wrong to be dropped if that's what you mean. All depends what was promised to Joe to cover and if Rhys is fit

I think that's fair - Rhys was at the game on Saturday and suggested he'd be fit. I'd assume that Joe was brought in as experienced cover, and has done pretty well - he's not the shot-stopper that Rhys is, but his handling, and kicking have been spot on from what I've seen, plus a penalty save to boot (we kinda expect this from him now, given his record).

Joe is a registered, permanent signing who has played very well while covering for Rhys, rather more than a stand-in. We now have two very good keepers on our books, and Gavin now has a very difficult choice to make.  I wouldn't personally like to make the choice, but I'll go with whatever he decides.

Interesting to read the following about Tuesday's opponents:

Shows the kind of finances we're competing against - and how reliant some/all of the other clubs are on wealthy benefactors.

I think it could likely be a half for each gk as Rhys will need to sharpen back up after being out for a few weeks (gk is all about timing, judgement and reactions as well as confidence from playing). If I was Rhys I'd be on my toes and out of the club if not back in the side by Saturday latest!

Another Enfield Town player (former)? was in this picture, James Hillson. I have no clue if he’s still here but we did have him for a minute at this season!

In all seriousness - he seemed like a respected u23 player for Arsenal by most fans.. I mean he got offered a 3 year contract to stay but it doesn’t seem like it worked at Bromley like he thought it would.. maybe due to attitude problems like Gavin was eluding to in the newsletter? I don’t know but he seems decent enough for this level.

He played once…..45 mins v Wrexham….in November 2021 of the 2021/22 season 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Theres no record of him playing for anyone else since…unless he’s kicked a ball around in lower non leagues where there are no match records

I imagine he’s been training etc staying active.. Maybe a personal problem in his life has kept him out? I have no clue and I don’t really care when he last played, as long as he performs for us!
