Last 15 league games have produced 2 wins, 5 draws, and 8 loses.

Given 11 points from a possible 45 from these 15 games.

That's a points per game of .733, which is relegation form.

That poor form would get most managers the sack and have the owners under massive pressure to sort things out.

But it appears this is acceptable at Slough?

It all depends on what the owners told the manager they wanted him to achieve this season.

If it was to make the play-offs then I would agree with you, if it was to avoid relegation then I wouldn’t.

Convinced this must be a Slough fan. Was it Warren who said the collective noun for Slough fans was a "misery"?

Sometimes trying to post on this forum is as frustrating as our present sequence of results. Whilst I have (more than once) cited "a misery" as a possible collective noun for Slough supporters, the phrase was originally coined, I understand, long ago by a Bishops Stortford fan. Still has some life in it.

WR,

So, of our starting line up who in your opinion is not good enough for this level:-

Horlock, Miccio, Pruti, Bayliss, Davies, Jackman, Prosper, Goddard, Gilbert, Ogbonna, Spasov

I thought we played well in the first half & were good for our 1-0 lead, but there were some obvious danger signs & they took advantage of them in the second half.

It was only 10 days ago that we beat Worthing 4-0, so I can’t agree with us struggling to win at least 3 of our remaining matches.

The only danger signs were us coming out half asleep after the half time interval and then making the obligatory mistakes to let Chippenham back into the game.

I've said it before our owners will be happy just to stay in this division.

Achieve that and it's job done for this season.

Going by our first half performance we looked up for the fight.

Closing Chipps down and looking dangerous without the end product to finish any good move off.

Start of the second half was a disaster.

Under the cosh for 15/20 minutes until the obligatory mistakes happened to gift both goals and the game was gone.

No doubt we've missed Henry but with no cover in midfield by not replacing Leon has come back to bite us on the a*se.

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say Saturday at Welling is a 6 pointer.

A game we must not lose or we're right in the thick of a relegation scrap.

Promoted in the last two seasons with Oxford City & Braintree in which he played in all five play-off matches, but you are questioning whether he is good enough for this level?

Sure he was good enough then, but as i stated he has only been here 5 minutes, so has yet to currently prove he is still up to it.

There's no doubt even in our losses we've continually created enough chances to get something but our forward line have not come up with the goods when needed.

Spot on RR  4 wins in our last 20 league games is shocking imo

Wins against Maidenhead, Dorking, Worthing, Maidstone and draws against Torquay and Eastbourne certainly smacks of players raising their game against the bigger clubs.

If true surely that's a cause for concern  if they can play excellently against the best why is total rubbish OK against the mediocre?

3 wins from the 11 games we have left sounds (and should be) more than doable. But you forgetting that our last 11 league matches (going back to vs Hemel on 11 January) have yielded 2 wins (as well as only 2 draws and 7 defeats, meaning 8 points from a possible 33).

Indeed, our previous 16 league matches (going back to vs Chelmsford on 30 November) have seen us win only twice. You may be satisfied with this, but IMO that's shocking.

We'll need to do a lot better than this in our remaining games to be sure of safety, as if our next 11 matches our previous 11, that'll leave us with 50 points which may not be enough but will be quite the comedown from our euphoria in September and last week vs Worthing.

And what was Fortress Arbour has managed just 3 wins from the last 10 home games

After last night our form for our last 10 home matches is W3 D4 L3 (which includes a run of 5 without victory). So at home we're now losing as often as we're winning.

Bear in mind that he's just come back from a long-term injury (which not all players manage to completely recover from), played for about 5 minutes before apparently falling out of favour (at a side right in the mire) and joining us.

I can only attend the Saturday home matches, but he's done OK what little I've seen so far.
