Programme

With regards to the programme, is the design inside the worst ever with the huge amounts of wasted space rendering the £2 charge a farce? Still, at least everything was on the correct pages this week even if there is no news to be gained from reading it. Nice to see the chairmans page was as inaccurate as ever, someone tell him Keegan has actually played at Clarence Park (which is more than most of our players have done this season).

Hi Rob.

A source tells me that the board instituted a couple of ideas this week which were published in advance. Advantage was taken of the "produce your full season-ticket at a Barclaycard Premiership of Nationwide Diision 1, 2 or 3 club and pay half the full admission price, ie £4 at Clarence Park" initiative by some 15 persons who were not readily recognised by the turnstile operatives and can be considered to be 'new' spectators. The 'Family Ticket' sold more than none but not very many, I gather. Early days.

[it's a shame that a better performance could not be produced.]

The 50p discount voucher for the programme was agreed upon in the last 2 weeks. It takes time, Rob. Sub-committee's working party, sub-committee, committee's working party, committee, Associate directors, that chap who gets £50,000 a year for taking the team-sheet from the Manager to the referee 1 hour before kick-off, The Board and back down the chain again. Rather than advertise the thing in advance and not give the 50p on Saturday, I imagine that they decided to get on with it. Not sure of numbers at the time of writing, Rob, although there were a lot more people in the clubhouse on Saturday compared to recent matches.

I'll have a word with a chap I know about the front cover of the programme, Rob.

Hi HitS.

A trifle harsh?

Whoever does the 'Ryman Round Up' knows what he is talking about, in my view.

I hear that discussions are taking place concerning the design and content of next season's programme. A couple of volunteers would help. Someone to do the double page about the opposition, for example. Stats and facts come from the other club, but someone to top and tail the thing with a bit of creative writing/trip down memory lane stuff would improve the thing.

Any volunteers? [Freeloaders need not apply, of course. Doin' It For The City, etc.]

Go on then HitS. When did the little fellow with the perm play at t'Park?
