I would be very very surprised if Thompson and Hawkins stayed with us at Step 3 next season. Don't forget that several of our squad joined specifically to play at Step 2. Oyenuga and Smith left relegated Step 2 sides in order to remain at Step 2. Leonard and Hawkins left Step 3 in order to play Step 2. Peake and Forster could potentially remain at Step 2 next season.

Facing facts, next season back at Step 3 would most likely be a complete rebuild around Parcell and Youngs.

Have to hope some of these players buy into what we’re trying to build here at Enfield. If we keep on to some of these players, no doubt in my mind we can go and challenge again for promotion.

New stand, new renovations with turnstiles, new renovations behind the goals.. Making the place look better. Just have to hope that we can keep some of these players.

No doubt in my mind Hutchinson would score many goals at step 3. We’ve seen Chukwu do it before so I know he would be able to aswell. Leonard looked like Messi at Hendon, etc.

I think Peake will/should get a deal higher up in the football league. Thompson could but with a risk of his previous long term injuries, maybe he is content playing at step 2.

If a rebuild is needed around a few familiar faces, then so be it. I would rather completely rebuild from scratch then have players that don’t want to be here

I like Lennon - and he's certainly improved from the first half of the season. However I've not seen much to suggest that he should be playing higher than Step 2. He's only 22, so all is by no means lost, but for me he needs to start producing more end product (assists/goals) if he is to get back into the full-time game. Is he better than the likes of Musa at Torquay? Wheeler at Worthing? I'd suggest not at the moment.

As for Adam, he's 32 and been a pro for 13 years before joining us. He's clearly had some injuries. I guess it comes down to how much of an appetite he still has for football and where his priorities now lie. I suspect he was after a full-time contract somewhere and for whatever reason that didn't materialise. It would be great to hang on to him next season wherever we are, but he is likely to get more money elsewhere in Step 2 or Step 3.

I get what you mean. But, personally I think it’s hard to compare players when they are in undeniably better positions then Lennon has been in. Wheeler has Faal and Musa has a very good supporting cast at Torquay, meanwhile Peake has been chopping and changing with Shakpoke, this guy, that guy etc. Their situations are far better then what Lennon has at the moment.

He is 22, and his age is a big factor why I think he could play at step 1, maybe even higher. The potential is 100% there, and obviously I hope he stays with us as long as possible, because he clearly loves it here at Enfield and understands what the club means to many people. When he was on the bench not getting much game time at all, always had a smile, having a chat with the fans and working hard.
