In the second half our defensive frailties from set pieces showed along with our lack of a goal threat. 

Valiant effort under the circumstances but until we get players back we will almost certainly find it difficult to pick up any points.

Just seen the video of the 'penalty' and it's up there with the calamitous decisions.

After the match the Ref admitted he got it wrong

I'd go so far as to say the referee was openly cheating last night. It went beyond the normal rubbish decisions etc. Miccio got booked in the first half for throwing a player to the floor, Weston #15 does the same thing to Slavi, nothing. Pen given against Scott was never a pen in a million years, the one against Spicer at the end was obvious (and if not a pen he should have been booked for diving). 2nd minute of the game, gives a feee kick against Roth as their guy ran into him, 20th minute Slavi runs into their defender = nothing. On and on with the decisions that IMO went beyond just a diabolical referee, something was afoot there last night. At best the referee was biased AT BEST.

I also agree with your earlier post RR, I thought for the first 40 minutes we looked good. Very solid and had some attacking threat just without the final quality in the box to finish off one of the good moves. The pen totally crushed us and I'd say ultimately cost us the game.

I thought he was well in the conversation for MoM. He looked solid in the tackle, decent in the air and overall a really, really good debut. I think a team with him, Bayliss, Hollis, Prosper and Jackman as a back 5 will be more than good enough to provide the foundation for the team to kick on and get a few wins on the board.

That's good to  hear  injured pre season but sounds like he was allowed a full recovery

I don't think you're far wrong their SF.

I was saying early in the first half this ref, for some reason doesn't want to give us anything.

Blatant fouls a couple of yards from us he was just waving away.

And funnily enough a soon as they were 3-1 up he started giving us some decisions.
