Codicote will be hard pushed to make the top five in Division Two in order to gain promotion to Step 6 next season despite having a lot of games in hand:

It looks like London Lions were still feeling the effects of their disappointing FA Vase Fourth Round defeat at Egham Town last Saturday:

Division Two
Pitstone & Ivinghoe 1 Eynesbury United 4

Eynesbury United's match report:

Spartan South Midlands Division 2 - Pitstone & Ivinghoe (0) 1 Eynesbury Utd (1) 4 (Jones 2, Wood, Palmer)
If Carlsberg did Saturday's then the Bulls can claim that yesterday was one of those days. In the championship and promotion race at the top of Division 2 leaders New Bradwell lost away at Newport Pagnell Town and Totternhoe lost at home to Old Bradwell, which saw the Bulls move within five points of the leaders.
And that sets up next Saturday when the Bulls travel to New Bradwell for a huge top of the league clash.
After last weeks 2-0 defeat for Pitstone & Ivinghoe to the Bulls, they had changed their approach to the game and came out guns blazing. In the early stages a shot from Churchill was deflected goal wards by Owen Meeds and somehow Arnold cleared it off the line. Minutes later Payne had a great chance but Dylan Martin pulled off an amazing save (it must of been good as Fieldy was impressed) as he stretched and turned the ball over the bar.
United were struggling to get their game together and with Pitstone we’re winning every second ball it looked likely they would be the only team to score. However, the first time United actually got their game together and got the ball down and played, they scored. The superb Brad Brown panicked Stevens into a mistake and the ball found McLeod who played a great ball through to Palmer who sprinted clear of the defence and slotted home past Frost. One up against the run of play but the Bulls settled down after that and started to cause issues for Pitstone.
Ryan Baxter was working hard up front and was having a good battle with both centre half’s. Last week Pitstone's John Smith was sent off for pulling Ty McLeods hair, and Pitstone were seeking revenge, an incident in the penalty box saw the centre half fall to the floor and allegedly Ty had pushed him. After some discussion by the Officials Ty was shown a yellow card, but this further encouraged the Pitstone players who were screaming every time Ty made a tackle but McLeod continued to be superb in the middle of the park and let his feet do the talking. One nil up at half time and the Bulls had to make three changes due to injuries.
The second half started with both sides coming out looking to get the upper hand, the Bulls were certainly the better team and a great chance saw Jones run through the defence but his shot was weak. Lee and Meeds were solid in the back four and were rarely troubled, apart from free kicks into the box which they dealt with superbly. On 66 minutes the game blew into life as a shot from Wood was blocked but the Referee adjudged that the defenders arm was in an un-natural position and he awarded the Bulls a penalty. This infuriated the Pitstone side and Jack Stevens said too much and was sinned binned, as he was walking off he obviously said something else and the Referee showed him a second yellow. Pitstone stalled the taking of the penalty for as long as they could but Iwen Jones was the coolest man on the pitch, stepped up and slotted home the penalty - 0-2
United started to boss the possession but Pitstone won a corner and reduced the deficit to one goal when Cestrone headed home. This could have turned into a squeaky bum time but within minutes Iwen Jones picked the ball up in the centre of the park and sent a superb curling shot past the motionless keeper - 1-3
The Bulls were again in charge and put the icing on the cake when a sweeping counter attack saw Jake Wood blast home at the far post for his second goal in two games and with that the Referee blew for full time. This was a great performance on a day the league was blown wide open. The Bulls travel to Godmanchester Rovers on Tuesday for a friendly, kick off 7.45pm.

Highlights from the abandonment at Ampthill Park due to a serious injury to Ampthill Town player Zion Selassie-Yoseph:

Saturdays match at Ampthill Town sadly had to be abandoned after Ampthill striker Zion Selassie-Yoseph suffered what we later found out was a double fracture and a dislocation. Up to this point the game was being played very well with us putting our noses ahead thanks to a very clean free kick by Scott Bridges. We wish Zion a speedy and strong recovery, a JustGiving page has been set up to help support his young family whilst he cannot work, please give what you can: https://justgiving.com/crowdfunding/p... Massive shout out to our Physio Ryan who was excellent looking after Zion along with the Ampthill Officials, until the ambulance arrived.
