What is the Matchday Experience at Arbour Park?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

I am new to following Slough Town & was hoping to get some tips from the seasoned Rebels fans here. I have been to a couple of matches at Arbour Park but I feel like I am still getting the hang of what makes a perfect matchday experience.

So, what do you all suggest? Is there a specific spot to stand or sit that gives you the best view and atmosphere? Any food or drink options at the ground that are a must-try? Also, are there any pre-match rituals or traditions I should know about to really feel part of the community?

I  used an AI tool to plan my visit and it gave me some basics but nothing beats advice from actual fans who know the ins and outs. I want to hear any tips, funny stories or even just what makes supporting Slough Town  for you.

Also i have check this https://www.fansfocus.com/topic/200062-volunteering/  witch is good.

Thank you...:)

Hi Joshua

Maybe you haven't heard, but this is a Fans Forum which is no place for such sensible questions about matchday arrangements; you'll have to send the club an email or else ask someone at the ground.

I hope I have been of assistance, and welcome to the club and Fans Forum!

Hi Joshua,

To answer just a couple of your questions, I like to get to the ground early, buy a program, golden goal and a 50/50 ticket from the stalls just inside the ground.

Next stop would be to get something to eat and drink either from the guest food wagons, upstairs bar or from the downstairs rebels bar.

As for viewing I normally stand around the side of the pitch but for best viewing there are some non reserved seats in both stands or if you prefer to get in among the fans go behind the goals.

You'll find the Rebel supporters a very friendly bunch and the more games you go to the more you'll get to know some of them if that's what you want.

Welcome to the rebels and the forum Joshua.

Hi Joshua

There might be as many answers to this as there are fans because what everybody needs is different. So my answers are personal

  1. Getting there early is a good idea as there are often different food concessions around which are worth exploring (the greek and indian street food vans are my favourite when they come.)
  2. Both the Rebels and upstairs bar are places where fans gather pre-match. If you like ales the Windsor & Eton brewery Knight of the Garter is excellent. There is often a match on tv in these bars as well.
  3. Where you stand/sit is entirely personal. If you want to be in amongst the noise and bustle then there is a really friendly group behind the goal that Slough are attacking. They are a great asset at home and even better away. I personally have a seat in the main(West) stand as I believe the view of the whole pitch is better and I find the atmosphere behind the goal a bit hectic. There are more seats reserved for season ticket holders/home and away directors in the West stand and so you will find it easier to find a free seat in the East stand.
  4. Above all make friends, we are a welcoming bunch.

Welcome to the rebels
