I wonder if Gav has ever worked out that changing the centre forward in games where theyre not getting much service only ever subjects the player coming on to the same fate?

Surely at some point you address the set up or the supply?

70 mins at 0-0 away to the worst side in the league and both forwards are off. 

The lack of self awareness and lack of footballing knowledge is literally off the scale.

Where are goals from any of the million players who have played up front for games in that 11 game spell…..Beckles several sub appearances…Kaunda now 3 games…Chukwu several games….Shakpoke 3 games…Whittaker now seems to be a favourite sub on 65 mins…

If we’d made a managerial change after Sittingbourne I actually believe we’d be out the bottom 4 by now. Honestly do.

Agree with the above. I was one of those calling for a change. Unfortunately the Club - more specifically the board - are much too 'nice', because we're a fan-owned club. There's no ruthless money man funding the club and willing to wield the axe.

The team has improved very gradually, but it still simply isn't good enough. The buck stops with the manager.

Capitulation week after week. Bath, Hemel, Weymouth, Chippenham, Chesham. Nothing more to say to be honest.

You have to question the mentalities of this team, and the management team. It’s completely unacceptable to do this game after game. We should not be 23rd at the moment.

I think Gavin should walk at the end of the season. And most of the players. Simply not fit to wear the shirt if we’re being brutal. Fans as-well embarrassing again.

I didn’t go today but easily the least fit team I’ve ever seen at this level.

No athleticism and late in games it shows time and time again that people on the pitch can’t or won’t run. 

On the radio it at least sounded like Hutch and Kaunda were running and to take them off at 0-0 in our position and end up with not one single forward on the pitch is just incredible.

This team under any kind of logical leadership would’ve stayed up.

Bit of a contradiction here. Shouldn’t be 23rd yet most of the players are simply not fit to wear the shirt.

We shouldn’t be 23rd with how many games we have lost in the last 15 minutes. There were points to be had in every game I listed. That’s not just on the players. That’s also Gavin and the management staff. You could put 11 people on this forum on the pitch at Salisbury and we would of hold a lead there. Hemel also.

Not fit to wear the shirt is harsh maybe I’m just angry at how the season is going, like many people. I think the mental capability of the group is terrible and it has been terrible for weeks. Capitulation like this over so many months is unheard of in football. Constantly nervous when we are a goal up.

I'm afraid you're right. And in some areas the team isn't even as good as the promotion-winning side of last season. We've spoken about the loss of Marcus at length, but none of the replacements have measured-up. Can someone please explain why Mickey Parcell is playing in the centre of midfield? I can't recall him ever regularly playing there at Step 3 - for ETFC or Hornchurch. In any event, Manny Harvest was playing for us in the play-off final and must be considered better than MP? I would suggest that Adam Thompson, Xavier Benjamin and Lennon Peake are improvements on last season's squad, but that's just not enough.

Peake and Thompson are the only 2 who get in last year’s team.

I think that Benjamin is better than Tanner or Mackenzie. Leonard is probably better going forward than Adjei-Hersey. And then, of course, we have the elephant in the room with Wyllie playing as a lone front man in the play-off final.

(With Marcus currently out for at least another 6 weeks, I wonder what prospect of Gillingham releasing him at the end of the season...?)

Some suggestion on the Weymouth forum that Gavin completely lost it at the end of the match. Anyone able to shed any light on this? Are things coming to a head?

Got every right to lose it though if he did.. Bayley Brown has no reason to do that. Complete irrational decision because we can’t hold our heads, and he’s played several games at this level. He should do better.

Looking around us, Aveley just beat Farnborough, St Albans are picking up gradual points and Welling thrashed WSM. Hemel improving aswell, Bath getting points etc. 

Weymouth and Enfield are basically fighting for 23rd and 24th.
