"Colonel Von Luger, it is the sworn duty of all officers to try to escape"

Ok, so here's the plan.

Welsh football bosses have offered Merthyr Town a deal worth up to £6m to join Wales' top domestic league. The Football Association of Wales (FAW) wants the Martyrs to leave the English non-league system and join an expanded Cymru Premier in 2026. The ultimate decision on whether to move to the Cymru Premier will be made by the club's members.

So why might this possibly be relevant for ETFC?

Well, Merthyr Town currently sit top of the Southern League Premier South. If Merthyr were to win the league and then refuse promotion to NLS, there is the possibility that only 3 teams may be relegated from NLS rather than 4.

Lots of 'ifs', but certainly a reason to make sure we finish as high up as possible.

If this is the case surely you townies would have to play off against the 4th from bottom of the NLN .  But then again I know how slippery and underhanded you lot can be 🤣🤣🤣

Hey Albs!

Have Chesericay worked out whether they'll be playing in the Isthmian North, Isthmian South Central or Isthmian South East yet next season? You might even end up with a trip to Guernsey! Exciting times. 🤞

FYI,  I wouldn't mind a trip to Guernsey , I might even take the misses and make a weekend of it . 🤣

Anyway Lovely stuff posing as crowing cockerel back to the question . Do you think a fair play off with NLN 4th from bottom is the right option ??

Or do you think the entitled "up who" arrogance  you lot exhibit on here gives you sway over anyone else ???

Can't really see how NLN can be involved as there will be 4 NLN feeder clubs ready to go up.

Presumably your Boxing Day Derby next season will be against Rayners Lane?

I'm not sure they accept objections written in crayon.

Unfortunately, Merthyr Town have rejected the Welsh Football Association’s £6m offer to join the Cymru Premier Division in Wales, so no lucky way out for now.

Can they please give us the same offer?
