IMO this is a game that could/should return us to winning ways I find it quite tiresome that some people always try to talk up the opposition That can't help team confidence.

On Tuesday Eastbourne have a tough game against Tonbridge away.

Eastbourne have been flirting with the playoffs for one main reason Their outstanding home record played 13 lost 0

Their away record is quite modest  they've lost as many as they've won with a couple of draws but more importantly they've struggled away recently  They've scored just 2 goals in their last 5 away games

We shouldn't imo take the field on Saturday with any sense of being underdogs.

I should have mentioned that in their previous 10 league games home and away Eastbourne have amassed 5 goals only!

Adrian, firstly you're assuming players actually read this forum and if they did why would talking up the opposition knock the teams confidence?

The players will obviously be aware of the task in front of them regardless of what they hear or read.

Eastbourne are a full time outfit and are in a play-off position for a reason.

Regardless of whether their away form is not as good as their home form we are not exactly pulling up trees ourselves home or away.

On a positive note if we can regain our previous excellent home form we will have an good chance of taking the points.

The point I was making is that after an excellent start Eastbourne have been dire in recent weeks just like we have I hope it is drawn to the attention of the squad that they aren't facing a top team playing well and our home advantage may benefit us.

Most managers will play up the opposition emphasizing their strong points and of course their weaknesses.

Eastbourne have announced the signing of forward Jason Adigun from Dagenham and Redbridge That's 2 new forwards in 7 days as they address their very poor recent scoring record.

After a few abysmal performances it might have been a good idea to give supporters something to get enthusiastic about. 

You never know it might even have persuaded some of the 'fence' supporters a reason to attend.

I can't believe if we have signed anyone at all we wouldn't have announces it this week. With all the massive positive steps the club is taking forwards, if we have signed player/s / released player/s, that would be an error IMO.

There is of course still time.
