Strange happenings at Brunting Road last night as an incident around the half hour mark led to the sending off of a Desborough substitute who allegedly entered the field of play to assault a Moulton player. At the time, a Desborough Town player was lying on the ground. Nearly ten minutes was taken up in resolving the incident.

Eddie McGeown - Thanks for that and for taking the trouble to make a post on here. The incident you refer to was described as 'handbags' in Moulton FC's match report (see below), it sounded like the Desborough Town substitute just confronted the Moulton FC player and didn't assault him as you suggested that he did however he was rightly sent off by the Referee and I'm sure will be dealt with harshly by the FA for 'illegally' entering the field of play in a violent demeanour:
