Pre Xmas attendances are usually lower for obvious reasons but I was still disappointed it was that low and would have hoped after our Trophy win we’d get 750+. Did our other 800 fans from last Saturday all have other things to do? Got to feel gutted for the board when they put a lot of hard work in promoting the club, making big improvements to the ground and loads of great work in the community to then see these low crowds turn out. Hopefully we’ll see around 1,500 for Boxing Day (guessing that might be segregated too as Chesham may well bring 300+).

Not sure why we'd even consider our Boxing Day fixture with Chesham being segregated.

Never has in the past, home or away, so why should it now?

Possibly because we might be expecting a crowd similar to Maidenhead? No previous issues with them but segregation was deemed necessary so why not the same for Chesham? Considering home Xmas fixtures are usually the biggest league crowds of the season, they are only 15 miles away and having an average crowd of over 1,000 there’s no reason why they won’t bring similar numbers as Maidenhead brought.

It's possible but I really hope not.

And at least half of that declared number weren't there. Attendance was more like 300/320 with 100 or so Chesham

If it wasn’t for their rich chairman they’d be playing 2 or 3 levels lower. They’re very lucky to have had him put millions in over the years and now have a very nice stadium with another £2m+ (away) stand in the pipeline, about frigging time!!!

Just trying to think why a club would declare over double the attendance.

Don't clubs have to pay tax on their declared attendances?

You've also go to add in the Arsenal connection and training facilities that boost their income.

Fear of ridicule! Yes they priced their ST very low and no doubt include these in their crowds even though they’re not present.

If I recall correctly, when we played at Beaconsfield the attendance for a match was declared as those that paid on the gate plus all season tickets sold (as they had paid to attend the match whether they turned up that week or not).

I think this changed when we moved to Arbour Park to the actual number coming though the gates for a match because it was a Council owned facility (& possibly the Council wanted security & safety in place for the actual number at the ground).

Both methods seem to be acceptable, & I have no idea what way we are currently reporting attendance numbers.

Now that highlights and post match interviews are available, what are the thoughts about Lucan’s red card?

Personally it looks like a push in the back with the Salisbury player going to ground holding his head, and then being congratulated by a team mate for getting Lucan sent off….. listening to the commentators though, one of them as well as the officials seem to have thought it was a punch (so if we do appeal & send in footage, maybe delete the commentary first).

First thing to say is Kweku is at fault for getting involved and giving the ref a decision to make.

Yes it was a shove in the back but as far as I'm aware once you raise your hands and make contact with an opponent the ref is entitled to take action whether that's with a yellow or red card.

Some refs would have given only a yellow card but because of the free for all ruckus it caused probably made his mind up to give a red card.

If we appeal I don't think we've got any chance of over turning the red card and Kweku will get a 3 match ban for violent conduct.
