Also,with our lack of form in midfield,i don't think Jason Nash has been given a fair chance to prove himself there.

 

And is John Everitt still a Town player.

 

I think we must remember the players that we havn't got available from last year: St Hilaire(retired),Paul Turner(retired),John Ridout(semi-retired),Dave Allen(left club),Matt negus(mostly unavailable).

 

The first three particularly were top Conference/Ryman Prem players in their hayday.

 

You can't persuade players of equal quality to join a team in the ESL.

 

If we can scrape up this season and join the Ryman,then the list of quality players willing to play for us will increase immensely.

 

Someone said Jim has exhausted his options regarding former EFC players (we must have had over 20 play for us in our short history)....I say Jim has only exhausted his options regarding ex EFC players willing to play outside the Ryman.

 

I,m sure we will get another crop of Jim old boys signing for the club ,once/if we proggresse into the Ryman.

 

Players like Danny Jones..etc.

At least we are unhappy with a draw and not satisfied with a 8-0 defeat which shows that we all wish to go on with our club,now all we need is to all join together and get behind jim and the team.p.s.i agree about Nash.

we can't rely on just ex-E's.

 

We need to be building a reputation whereby players, with no previous connection want to join an ambitious club. And I think we can demonstrate that with the ground, the support and the team behind the team; management, directors and helpers.

 

In addition the youth and reserve sides need to be built up. For a 3 year old we're doin alright!

Quinn why do you keep getting yourself sent off ??

Passion and agression are all well and good as long as they are channeled correctly.

 

Surely you realise that the team suffers when we have to battle on with 10 men ?

 

Why were some people applauding Quinn on Saturday as he walked past ? not having a go here just curious the guy had not played well and managed to get himself sent off even after he had won the freekick, we should have been trying to go on and get a winner.

 

We as ETFC fans do have a tendancy to set ourselves high ambitions and do I am afraid look to lay the blame elsewhere if things go wrong.

 

Fact is we are not playing as well as we can, but it is the players who are not performing to the best of their abilities.

 

Change JC ? ....no JC has been great and can still do a fine job for this club in my opinion.

 

A lot of good point s have been raised on this thread about missing higher quality players not being able to attract better class of player etc.

 

At the end of the day we all want this club to go places and the only people who can get us the results are the team

 

I am not usually one to slate players in public but I think there are a few who need to put a bit more effort in, and think about what this club means to those who set it up and keep it running both physically and financially.

 

we have a lot of talent in the squad and plenty to be able to win this league and move up.

 

Come on guys lets put a run together and finish the season with a bit of style we know we can do it.
