I don't remember this happening before

Marlow v Tiverton  is off not because there are problems with the pitch but because Tivvy have said they must obey the Met Office instruction in the area against all but essential travel!

To be fair Tiverton was in the area covered by the red warning this morning, and is now in an amber.  Have read some comments about cars struggling to keep straight on the M5 earlier.  I'm in a yellow and had difficulty walking down the garden!

Here in Ilminster we were red warned about 7pm yesterday via our mobiles We were at a function and 30+ mobiles all going of at the same time makes quite a racket!

Didn't realise, or had forgotten, that you are in the west too these days.  I'm further north in Cheltenham, but we were only 50 miles above the edge of the red zone which isn't far as the wind blows...

I would say 95% of all the games in our red area were called off due to travel safety.

The Western, and South Western Peninsula leagues put Storm protocols into place on Friday, meaning the home or away team could decide. For example, my local pitch was playable, bur it was too dangerous for the other team to travel, do the decision was taken away from the home team.

Obviously not the same level but our home Slough Heating FC match was called off on Saturday for safety reasons as we have trees around the pitch and there were branches snapping and debris all over the place.

Pitch was immaculate to be fair but I had to do a video from the centre of the pitch and surround in the eye of the storm on Saturday morning to show the league and ref before they'd call it.

Hope all are safe.
