Wilko has been one of our most commited and consistent players this season and i would pick him over Crab any day.

I agree too! Wilko does for us what Hammann does at Liverpool he breaks up attacks and passes the ball out sensibly to our players, you very rarely see him aimlessly boot the ball away or give it back to the opposition and i for one prefer him in our team to not having him in it. If that was Crabs best game for us then he really must be **** as I thought he was useless. What I do think is that we could do worse than try and sign their number 11 although he looked like a girl with his ponsie haircut he was very attack minded and was excellent in the air which is something (apart from Daly) that we are lacking in. Also look at all these posts! and no mention of the ref!! can u believe it!? We finally get a decent ref! Can i spoil it by saying how poor both linesmen were though if only Nick Gyoury had hit him with one of his crutches on the sideline!

From what I understand their no.11 is a horsham local and so little chance of joining us.

I don't even know why Williams makes it into the team every week. I've seen very little of him recently, he dosen't get stuck in and for most of Saturday's match I forgot he was even on the pitch.

Just want to jump in with the defence of Wilko. He works his socks off and is not shy of a tackle unlike many of our other midfielders. He should play alongside Hakki in the centre and when he is unavailable it should be Hyatt.

 

Hakki is looking a little tubbier than in his first spell at the club so may not be quite match fit. But he still is a class above the rest of our team (with the obvious exception of spence.)

From this seasons performances i would personally choose Hyatt over Wilkinson. Just my opinion, we can all have and voice our own, that's the whole point of a forum.

 

I would personally love to see Christian Metcalfe back though. How good and strong would Steer - Hakki - Metcalfe - Spencer be?

Met's would be my preferred choice in that midfield quartet as well. Wonder if he'd be interested given Northwood's position and struggles so far this season? I'm sure we could offer him more dosh, but more respect to him for wanting to play at a higher level.
