After some indifferent performances earlier Chippenham have improved recently  but they have won more games/ points away from home than on their own pitch 

It'll be a tough game but no reason imo we can't take something from it

With a full squad I'd agree but with players missing it's gonna be tough.

By the sounds of it the next 2 matches will see us very stretched personnel wise and with both being away I’m not expecting too much.

Our squad will be stretched to the limit and two really difficult away games where we rarely get much joy.

Chippenham Town centre currently flooded so may impact on tomorrow night game going ahead.

No game tomorrow night will mean we will be missing Bayliss, Beeden and Ochieng for the Chelmsford game.

Its not the best surface anyway so could well get postponed.

Answer from Chippenham this afternoon was that they have no pitch inspection planned.

Ok, game will be on, the pitch becomes a pudding , as soon as we go 0-2 down we start complaining a la Havant. Job done.

Yes the town is flooded but what about the pitch

The pitch is 25 metres above the level of the town where the flooding is.

Also the pitch has a self draining system called "a bloody great slope".

However this doesn't stop them growing cabbages on the pitch.

Several of the forecast sites saying no rain tomorrow in Chippenham so game should be on if they are correct!

It's not about the pitch though is it?  Depends on the state of the roads in the town that spectators and players etc need to use to get there!

Some of their supporters on Twitter(X) were saying the same thing, roads closed all around the area. 🤷‍♂️

Of course and there's no better placed people to know about the local roads than Chippenham.

They were still advertising that the game was on and selling tickets 1 hour ago.

If there was any doubt about the game being on I would have thought Chippenham would have announced something by now?

Pretty certain it was mentioned that Henry Ochieng was suspended for tonight's game.

Still it's a good job he's available because I think it's gonna be a long night.
