Listening to Marc Whites interview.. all about the ref this and that.. the referee was bad for both sides today.

Looking at the penalty incident again, I think Mr White owes the ref an apology after his post-match rant. Both players had hold of each other and the ref was about 5 yards away.

Unfortunately, no chance of Marc White admitting he’s wrong. Dorking have deleted the interview now.. wonder why🤔

Nonetheless, move on anyways and take a point away from really a step 1 side. All teams lost above us yesterday which puts us in a great position for Tuesday.

Must say it gets rather quiet on here when performances start picking up - weird.

Really enjoyed the trip yesterday despite the atrocious weather!

The team is now looking settled with no line up surprises.

Alfie had an early shot which was closer than it looked initially - but they has most of the possession as expected - they whipped in a few crosses but didn't get anyone on the end of it.

They seemed to be focussing on Dylan at RWB who worked his socks off - but they did get passed him a few times.

Just before the goal we had a pretty good spell of passing the ball around and keeping possession (we need to do this even more)

There was a long stoppage before their 9 went off - didnt look like a foul to me - and we switched off, allowing them to score with a header - did look like they had a few in an offside position as it was taken?

They then had the penalty incident - which the video backs up was not one (I thought there was another tussle on the edge of the box that could have been given).

Felt deflated at half time- we hadn't yet got a single point from a league game this season where we concede first .. and didnt feel confident.

We really came out quickly in the 2nd half, Dan Cox running forward with intent, and then my MOM Lennon Peake ran dowm the wing for Sammy to knock in for am eqauliser (bit similar to the Knight- Taaffe combination vs Torquay).

This really got the Enfield fans in voice and there was constant singing til the end! The bad weather had everyone huddled in the small stand so probably helped the atmosphere ..

We battled, and whilst we didn't create that much, they didn't trouble Rhys much - had he conceded any of them we would have said they were soft...

The Dorking forum says we are the worst team they have seen this year - but who cares !

So 3 games unbeaten and I'm feeling pretty positive - Thompson has been a revelation at the back in terms of ability and organisation (may well take the captains' armband permanently) .. we need to try and secure the 3 loanees until the end of the season if we can - if they were all suddenly recalled this week where would that leave us? Is there a limit or can we bring in more loanees?

We just need to finish above 4 other teams, and if we can take a point at Dorking we can do it against anyone.

Hornchurch have started to pull away from the bottom - so won't be easy - so another point wouldn't be the end of the world, but all 3 would be fantastic!!

Was surprised at their ground being so basic having spent 2 years at Step 1 - their previous ground seemed very similar from memory? No programme? Looking forward to seeing Bunch of Amateurs take on the game in a few weeks .. Marc White was respectful about us in his interviews - included the deleted one - but be interesting to see what he said in his team talks!

Yep that's a theme we could do without I think,' the not much to say when it's a good result but plenty when we get beat' but nowt as funny as folk so they say!

To be honest - I think we set up perfectly today. Props to Gavin once again because he did get it right today. We hit them at perfect times and I think Rhys should do better for their goal but it is hard. Great point and nonetheless more momentum to build on.

I think we wanted to absorb all that pressure and try and counter them and we did that for the most part. Came out the second half really strong which is becoming a theme (most likely due to what’s being said in the changing room).

Overall, solid at the back (becoming another theme), Shakpoke promising, Tuck and Thompson dominant like always. Don’t wanna get ahead of myself but - the town are staying up ole ole🎶

I agree we conceded a silly goal and am a bit surprised Rhys didn't read that better but that said a good performance over all. Not the best conditions for sure.  We are starting to give a good account of ourselves and should hopefully start picking up more points. Dorking will slate us as being poor as they thought they would get a cricket score and didn't. If they think we were poor then they were equally poor on the day....bunch of to**ers

A few Dorking fans I spoke to after the game was praising us about how we played well and we did what’s needed. Don’t know if Dorking fans on a forum expected us to start playing on the halfway line and playing like 2011 Barcelona but fair enough, we’ll take the point and move on.

Ground was horrific for a former National League side. All Enfield Fans stuck in a tiny cold stand in the corner of the stadium. Expected much better but I think it helped with how loud we was for the whole of the second half.

Dorking scoring 7 (seven) away at Hemel tonight certainly puts our point on Saturday into perspective. I also think that I may have seen Gav actually smile during the post-match interview.

I’m now over the moon with that Dorking point. Hemel have now conceded more goals then us!

Another game I wasn't able to get to (I'll not be there tonight either), but that really was an excellent point, and especially nice to gain a point from a losing position, rather than give away a lead. The Hemel result does put things into perspective too, I know Hemel are on a bit of a bad run at the moment, but to concede 7 is pretty emphatic. I dread to think what the mood would be like on here if we conceded 7 goals, there would certainly be more than 1 and a bit pages worth of posts, and I think a few posters might spontaneously combust 🤯

I think tonight will be a tough ask, with Hornchurch looking to avenge the Trophy defeat, but you never know at the moment...

Given that the bookies have Hornchurch odds on to take the points tonight, I will be delighted if we can come away with something. We are on the right track, but still very much a work in progress, so a defeat will not define our season. Hoping/expecting we can give a good account of ourselves.
