West Hertfordshire St Mary's Cup - 2024/25

The First Round (Quarter Final) draw where known, Tring Athletic, Berkhamsted Raiders, Amersham Town, Leverstock Green, Chipperfield Corinthians and Harpenden Town were all in the competition last season and I assume, other than Berkhamsted Raiders, that is the case again:

Oxhey Jets v Bovingdon (Tuesday 26 November)

Bovingdon travel to Oxhey Jets this evening for their First Round tie having lost 3-0 there in the First Round in 2022/23 which wasn't played until Tuesday 11 March 2023. The Club's were also due to meet in the First Round in 2019/20 however due to Covid the competition was abandoned that season and did not resume again until 2022/23:

I have it on good authority that Tring Corinthians AFC were robbed last night, at a foggy Cow Lane, in their West Hertfordshire St Mary's Cup First Round tie with Tring Athletic through a late disputed penalty, converted by Captain George Carbery:

No difficulties whatsoever for West Hertfordshire St Mary's Cup holders Harpenden Town last night in their First Round tie with Chipperfield Corinthians at Rothamsted Park, winning 3-0 with goals from Josh Rodrigues and a clinical brace from Isaiah Hilaire:

Both of these teams grace the Spartan South Midlands League but there are two Divisions between them, with hosts, Athletic in mid-table in the Premier Division and Corinthians in mid table in Division 2. It should have been a massacre but the hosts were woefully profligate and the visitors plugged away doggedly. After a goalless first half, Athletic took the lead just before the hour mark, Corinthians equalised some ten minutes later with an outrageous free kick and, out of nowhere, the hosts won it with a penalty five minutes from time! Heavy fog rolled in midway through the second half.

No problems for Tring Athletic last night in a 3-0 Semi Final win at a disappointing Oxhey Jets and they will take on last season's winners Harpenden Town in the Final, date and venue still to be decided:
