Enfield Town vs Salisbury

Recommended Posts

Interesting one going into this weekend, recent form for both teams have been poor with both teams having 1 win in 6 games with their loss to Torquay tonight. Win this week and if things go our way we could be out of the relegation zone for a temporary time.

Although we basically lose every week, have missed watching us play funnily enough and I can’t wait to be there on Saturday, hoping to see us nip some of this bad form in the bud. Hopefully more of the same atmosphere on Saturday like we saw against Chesham.

Predictions: I think it will be an even game, so I’ll go 3-2 Enfield with a winner right at the death.

COYT.

Given that we're 6pts off safety, barring a points deduction for some other sides we're not getting out of the relegation zone in the immediate future!

Always goals at The Dave Bryant - 4-3.

I think any positive result, win or draw, would be acceptable.

But my major concern is the absence of any official news about new recruitment. Especially since Knight's departure.

I know that some say no news is good news. But it can be a bit worrying though!!!

Looking forward to hearing something soon one way or another.

Sorry wrote that late and thought Bath was on even points with St Albans with 11. But still, 6 points from safety can be removed very easily with a bit of form but it’s definitely getting bigger then I thought.

I agree, I thought we’d make atleast a signing this break to replace Knight or Mills but maybe it’ll get released closer to matchday as Enfield like doing that. Did it with Thompson, Hutchinson etc. Keep faith!

Gavin did say after we signed Thompson that ‘we wasn’t done’ so I think a signing might get released this Friday before Salisbury and be in contention to play.

Ever the optimist I'll also go for a win but will go 2-1 and looking forward to the game COYT. Other clubs are having tough times too from good starts so maybe now it's time we get a few wins to climb up a bit, we can fluke them I don't mind, just get some points

Might be time to bring out some of these ‘dark arts’!

  • Father Jack changed the title to Enfield Town vs Salisbury

Gavin has, rather unusually, had a 2 week break after 1/3 of the season. I'm sure every manager in the country would love that kind of opportunity to re-evaluate, recruit and get injured players back. It really is now or never.🤞

Feel very confident for Saturday. Hopefully have a bit of a mind reset from some of the players and Gavin in the dressing room with a 2 week break. Salisbury do have a good few players though which will probably cause a lot of problems for our defense if we don’t settle in well. Hopefully a signing announced before Saturday you would hope losing Ollie and Mills over the fortnight but if Gavin is set on a 11 now then maybe he doesn’t want to change it too much.

No news on any signing(s) yet. I'd imagine Joe Payne will take Harley's left-back spot. Hoping Benjamin is back from injury. In an ideal world Gavin has made new signings at right back/right of a back 3, centre midfield and centre forward. Being realistic, I hope the defence we have has been putting in some serious practice over the past fortnight.

We will have to wait and see CC.

But looking on the bright side we will have our new stand.

However with regard to this  is it correct that, as some heave stated, if we were to be relegated we could sell it on?? It seem too simple to be true. Because if this the case every promoted side obtaining grants and end up being demoted would surely have to pay the grant back?  Otherwise, what a wonderful way of making money!!!!

We won't be selling it on or having to return the grant monies. Arguably, we should've gone all out and gone for Option A (rather than B ) so that we can take something even more impressive back to the Isthmian!
