Slough Town FC Most Loyal Supporter

Recommended Posts

I was reading a few forums today and this subject cropped up. Who would you say is your most loyal supporter?

In our case I would say Warren Carter: lives in Brighton, comes home and away and stuck with us during the shit

years at Windsor then Beaconsfield ( as I did). Also, Mark Bevan (now in living in Taunton) springs to mind.

As we progress us oldies are being replaced by younger lads, bit have they got the passion we had if

we fall from grace , i.e. would they stick with us?

How about mentioning some of the people who don’t come on this forum but have supported the Club for 30 or 40+ years not only by attending matches but also through volunteering numerous hours of their time each week.

There are loads of loyal supporters who've been attending Slough games for years and help out as volunteers that could be mentioned.

I might be wrong but the idea of the post by WR was to ask for opinions on loyal supporters who not only have attended home and away matches for years but have also had to travel long distances?

Difficult as there are so many worthy recipients but i think for me there are supporters who not only support but go way above and beyond, especially when we most needed them at the end of the 00s...... Names that spring to mind in this category are of course the likes of Chris Sliski, Kay Lathey, Mike Lightfoot, Adrian Gomm etc.

Definitely have to say that Warren Carter is a great shout too. I remember a game away at Farnborough.....must have been 2007 and we were 4 or 5 down at half time with barely a team scraped together. He gathered those who were there at half time and brainstormed how supporters could help the club, the passion he spoke with that day really struck me as to how much he cared.
