A lacklustre performance from Stony, comfortably held at bay after falling behind for the second time early in the second half. When an assured Aston Clinton scored goal number three, conversation turned to the evening’s Stony Stratford Zombie Pub Crawl, which lunchtime cafe staff had indicated was due to bring “carnage” to the town’s normally sedate high street. We ventured instead to Wolverton for a post-match pint, prioritising safety over sorrow.
