Salisbury 2 Hx 2

Recommended Posts

What an incredibly brave performance from the guys yesterday. A patched up side missing key players like Liam and Mason went onto the field against a Salisbury side attacking from the beginning. Another injury forced an early sub and our new goalkeeper also clearly picked up an injury but bravely carried on. Pressure on us eventually lead to the goal and at that point I thought we were going to be in for a long day as they were all over us but then it seemed we were allowed back into the game and started putting on pressure of our own. Weird equaliser , free kick seemed to beat everyone but I suspect George doesn’t care about that! Open second half threats from both teams, they got their noses ahead but this time I thought it was against the run of play as we were doing well. Great last gasp equaliser, could their keeper have done better? Who cares. Ryan Scott had a great game , Manny got through a lot of work in midfield and a big shout out to Harry Seadon who somehow got through the game . Point gained as far as I’m concerned . Also good ref , liked the fact she waited for their player who threw himself to the floor to get up and still booked him for an obvious foul didn’t get conned. Well done to all coyu

Have to say it was a spirited performance from the team which clearly has lost its way and confidence in recent times with injuries and players leaving.  Its a point well deserved although did feel the 2nd goal for salisbury is hard on our keeper who made an excellent save but because of his injured leg could not get up.to react in time to block the rebound coming in.  Another day its cleared or goes round post still the reaction from the players was telling that they didnt like it and went on to score the 2nd to keep the point we had.

Much to still do in rebuilding the team but as those injured players regain fitness and we start seeing them return in to the team i feel we will head in the right direction.
